I find the same thing with my lap top. It depends on the angle that your looking at. My laptop seems to have a yellow tint to the screen and when I look at my stuff on other computers it leans toward blue.

Thanks so much, Martha. It's great to hear your interpretations! Comet-like is what I thought of after I did the first one. The plastic reminds me of flame, or rippling water. The shrouded image is an interesting concept to me, as well as the sense of motion. It is fun to discover a vehicle for the imagination within such a mundane subject.

Hi Diana--thanks! I'm glad it looks like it was fun to paint, cause actually this one was kind of a pain. It wasn't coming out at all until I did some desperate smearing and smooshing toward the end that seemed to salvage it a bit.
