Hi Don: Your work is amazing. I read on one of the other comments that you said "I still feel like I'm learning all the time. These little dailies are teaching me so much about handling oil... It's a joy, not a chore."

Any plans for what you'll paint next - beyond the dailies - with what you're learning?

I was also wondering if prints (small or large) might be available sometime in the future for those of us who missed getting the original of one of our favorites?

Enjoy the Santa Anas,
Mark

Mark--thanks for the nice comments. Yes, even this old dog feels like he's still learning. The great thing about daily painting is it forces you to just "dive in" and work without overanalyzing--an excellent way to overcome so-called
"artist's block." You don't have time to sit around waiting for inspiration, and that's a good thing. The old adage that success is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration sure holds true in artmaking.

Anyone who's been painting for awhile knows this but it's easy to forget. The dailies help me remember and apply the lessons to my larger paintings. I also feel I'm gaining more fluency and a bit more painterly style in oil, which I hope will carry over into the other work.

Yes I do plan to offer prints before long. I'll be switching over to a new site design soon and will make prints available then, so stay tuned.

Thanks,
don
