Memory 4

Oil on board, 6"x6"
$125.00 + $6.00 shipping in US.
SOLD

Another in my "Memory" series. A cattle path leads to this remnant of a fence. The cows would rub their sides on the post, polishing it to a beautiful russet sheen. The shovel was used to break ice in the ditches during the winter so the cattle could get to water.

You spin a good yarn with your paintings.

May sound like a yarn to C. Ousley, but not so to a small rancher in NE Oregon. My
Dad had the same shovel and the same post and performed the same scenario as Don described every winter when the irrigation ditches would freeze over.

I meant he tells a good story with his paintings. I meant it as a compliment.
