Memory 10

Oil on board, 6"x6"
$125.00 + $6.00 shipping in US.

On family camping trips when I was a kid we often pitched our tent along this icy snow-fed stream. I may have slowed down a bit...OK...maybe quite a bit... since my youthful hiking days, but I still love an opportunity to head "up South Fork."

Love your well designed landscapes.
This little church that your grandfather built reminds me of Yorke Settlement in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia, where my husbands mother was from. We went up there and there was a guy shingling his roof while his wife mowed the lawn on a beautiful little farm in the midst of this vast hilly, dirt road landscape. When I stopped to take pictures of his cows he began to tell us all about my husbands forebears on his mother's mother's side. Quite fascinating!

Thanks for your comments, Mary. I'm happy the paintings trigger memories of your own.
