Hi Don,
I really enjoyed this painting. The color of the water is wonderful - and I especially like the darkening of the color and the slight ripple in the lower left hand corner. Do you find it difficult to shift your technique between watercolor and oil?

Very nice. I also really like the house below as well!

Hi Joanne,
Thanks for stopping by and for your kind words. As to shifting technique between mediums--I enjoy that shift. I think it helps sharpen my appreciation for each medium's unique properties.

The golden hues of the land really pop with that beautiful blue color you used for the water. Great Work!

Hey Don,

I was just cruising some of my favorite links and came to you..great stuff as usual but it is very nice to see your watercolors too. You make me want to bust out my old set and dust of the ol H20 cakes. Also great fun to click on your Saatchi gallery link and some of your contemporary work..you're one of the great American painters of today as far as I can see.
All the best,
Todd

Todd, your praise is far too high but certainly much appreciated. You have a kind and generous spirit. Thank you for spending some time on my sites--I'm very honored. I love "Moo" and "Max."
