| Throw Pillow
Watercolor on archival paper, 6" x 6" $125.00 + $6.00 shipping in US. | SOLD
| Took a break from the studio for lunch, fixed myself a sandwich, sat down in the living room and turned on the TV. Nothing on. Then I started noticing the way the light caught the top of the throw pillow on the love seat. Aha! Inspiration can strike when you least expect it. | |

Hi Don
Beautiful light! Do check out the work of Maine painter, Connie Hayes, especially her interiors. Her color is punched up waaaay more than yours, but I think that you'll appreciate her work!

Happy Spring!

First thing that came to mind seeing this, your earlier one as well...a dog was, "Aaahh...a painter!"
Going thru blogs this morning from the powerguide list...and just wanted to say, nice work! Keep it up!

Good Morning Don, Yet another wonderful work for us to savor. Wish I could see the world through your eyes. Thankfully we have to to present it to us in your singular style!!
Our best to you and Brenda and Happy Easter to your whole family.

Hey Don, this is a cracker. I love simple subjects made special in this way.
OOPS. I sent my message without noticing the typo. I meant to say Thankfully we have YOU to present it to us in your singular style. Ann La
Beautiful, Don, the light is astounding. Makes me want to lie down for a nap.
Once again the master shows us his Wyeth-like genius in glorifying the commonplace and his treatment of light. How beautiful!

Hi Martha,
Thanks for the link. I'll check out her work and drop you an email.
Larry, nice of you to say. Thanks for coming by.
Hi Ann, great to hear from you. Happy Easter to you and yours as well.
Thanks, Sheila!
Laura, my work can have that effect on people...put them to sleep I mean :) Thanks.
Hi Graham,
Thanks for weighing in and thanks for such encouragement!
A good turn of events. Happy that nothing was worth watching on the tube.
All those channels and nothing to watch--typical, huh? Thanks, Suzanne.
Hey Don, Just checking in and seeing how the master is doing, jeez, these are really spectacular. I'm really loving the brushwork on this one.
All the best,
Todd
Hi Todd, good to hear from you. I'm enjoying your blog, as always. Thanks for your comment.
17 comments!! well I might as well join in and say It's beautiful too! I see those beautiful little moments every day, but I just don't know how to paint them like you do Don....Dixie
A beauty Don.. thought it was an oil at first. Masterfully done and a watercolor triumph.
Whether you paint them or not, it's the noticing that's important.
Thanks, Dixie.
Bill, can't thank you enough. Love your latest painting.
Wow this one is so special, so warm and comforting; I love it!
I hope you do some more of these Don :)
Thanks, Triecia. As a matter of fact, another related one today. don't know if any more are in store. Guess it depends on where I sit down to eat lunch.
