Bad Computer! Bad, bad computer!

I've suspected for some time that my computer has been conspiring against me. Sure enough, today it went berserk and wouldn't listen to any of my commands. I've got to take him into the shop for some re-training, so will be unable to post for awhile. I'll leave a few art quotes here and be back very soon I hope!

A painting is never finished - it simply stops in interesting places.

~ Paul Gardner

When my daughter was about seven years old, she asked me one day what I did at work. I told her I worked at the college- that my job was to teach people how to draw. She stared back at me, incredulous, and said, "You mean they forget?

~ Howard Ikemoto

If people knew how hard I worked to get my mastery, it wouldn't seem so wonderful at all.

~ Michelangelo

There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot, but there are others who, thanks to their art and intelligence, transform a yellow spot into the sun.

~ Pablo Picasso

Art is like recess for the mind.

I've just been browsing your site and loving your diverse body of work. Well done.
Wouldn't you like to drop the computer out the window and watch it smash to smithereens on the ground below?
Satisfaction!

Thanks Mary, for the kind words, and for the smashing suggestion...that's exactly what I'd like to do! (It probably would work fine after that:)

DON!

Congrats on getting featured on lines and colors - that's a great blog and I loved the painting he chose and what he had to say about you and your work. Nicely done. I updated the theme of my site and I'm putting a little more time and energy into it, hope I can keep it up.
Spring is here, I can tell by the increasing number of hours I'm actually awake and not bundled up in bed under 3 comforters.

Thanks for the congrats, Mark. I tried to follow your link and got "Profile not Available" from blogger. Is your site not public?

Thanks Laura. Be my guest with the quote. Truthfully, I don't recall where I got it.
