The Daily Paintings of Don Gray
I love this design and your colour choices Don. The other day I was checking out some of your earlier abstracts (someone mentioned the 'contemporary paintings' site on your blog. It is so satisfying playing around with shapes like that. Once you have decided the painting almost (almost but not quite!!) paints itself.
love the warm orange happening under the soap! nice composition!
Thanks, Sheila, I'm glad you like this one.I really don't make a distinction between my abstract and realist paintings. The same principles are at work in both. I see a strong awareness of abstract qualities in your own work.
Thanks, Martha. It was interesting trying to express the subtle color shifts in the soap.
This painting really appeals to me and makes me think of Wayne Thiebauds cake paintings which I just adore! Nice peaceful, curvy composition too.
Thanks Dianne, for your visit and kind comments. It is nice hearing from you. I really enjoy your fine work.
