OK, I am just really excited for you, Don. This new series is so rich, and the possibilities are endless! What alot of fun! The purples and reds in this stillife are sumptuous! It's gorgeously painted!
I see that the violent undercurrent subsided for the time being. (delicate object next to something to smash it with). ha ha. I agree with Martha M., the purples and reds are sumptuous! Love this series.

I love this one. The purple jelly and the purple lenses create a really arresting image.
Am really enjoying your "odd couple" series !!
Martha, I so appreciate your enthusiasm--thank you!
Thanks for the visit, S.M. It's great to discover your work...and that you're an Oregon painter!
M., I'm honored--thank you.
These just really seem to go together. It's well painted, but on top of that, the mysterious story grabs me.

Thanks Frank--good to hear your thoughts.
"Violent undercurrent!"...who, moi?! I'm meek as a lamb. Can't imagine how you got those connotations.
Thanks, Silvina.
I didn't get any violent message from this, but thought it was whimsical. It seems like the sunglasses are slipping down the nose of the jelly jar.
It's a fun image, and interesting.
Thanks for the kind comments, Diana.
you COULD smash the glasses with the jelly jar...
You're right, Martha. It's a violent painting.
A small painting with a big impact - great one Don.
Thanks, Nick--much appreciated.
