Last winter's large snowpack has made for an exceptionally green summer in the mountains. The bark of this Douglas Fir is covered with lichen.

Wow, Don: this is gorgeous--the lights and darks are amazing. You make beautiful greens, in this one and yesterday's too--so natural and various.

I like it Don,!Very lush and beautiful. The woods are one of my favorite places to be and is part of my childhood memories. We lived back in the meadow and the school bus use to let me out at the gate and I walked through the woods and across a shallow rocky crossing of the creek up to the house. I was 6 years old. What a special memory to me....Dixie
