| I picked these from our humble little vegetable patch. And humble it is-- just a couple of tomato plants and a few cucumbers and peppers. But it has been a long time since we've planted a garden, and I had forgotten the thrill of harvesting something nurtured with one's own hands. I knew these had to be today's painting. | |

I like humble paintings. I like the blueish highlight on the cucumber...Dixie
a not so odd couple! beautiful!
Excellent work Don. Very cool work with opposites - shapes, colors, etc. Vegetables are elevated to a new level here.
Don, those two have got personalities of their own, and the colour on that tomato is wonderful!
Wow! That gleam on the cucumber is so impressive!
Very nice, such great light on this cucumber. You make veggies exciting.
Thanks, Dixie.
Hi Martha--thanks!
Bill, thanks for the encouragement.
Thanks, Sheila. It's always energizing to work with red/green, isn't it?
Thanks, Barbara--nicest veggie compliment I've ever had :)
I wish I had this on a tile.It would be installed so fast!
I've been trying to think of how to say it...these veggies are so present. They have great dimension.I love looking at them.
I enjoyed the daily thrill of the Ocean series. Wonderful work.
Tiles...maybe that's the direction I should go...start showing up on backsplashes around the country :)
Thanks, Lu.
Dar, thanks for your very kind thoughts.
