I like the red! I also like how your paintings read BIG - very nice. I've seen scenes like this that have inspired me (ie a tree casting shadow on a side of a structure), so I'm glad to see you did it and it translated beautifully as a painting!
I received this beautiful little gem in the mail today. It's even more lovely in person and I can't wait to frame it up and hang it. Looking at it gives me a kind of zen moment, so perhaps this needs to live at my desk at work!

Thanks, Takeyce!
Your comments are much appreciated, Erika--thanks!
How about calling this
Young AND Poplar?
This is almost an abstract painting - love it!
Hi Martha--now that's a title! :)
Thanks.
The use of shadow work of the tree makes this stunning.
Thanks a lot, Pat.
That is just a lovely, graceful tree and the shadow is kickin'!
Good to hear from you, Mary--thanks!

Hi Kate,
Glad you're pleased with the painting. Glad too that it puts you in a meditative place. Thanks for writing!
