Coyote Crossing

Watercolor on paper, 6" x 6"
$125 plus $6 shipping in U.S.
SOLD

Okay, I didn't actually see the coyote. But I saw his tracks. That's usually the way with these elusive animals, they stay below the radar most of the time. I tried to catch that phantomlike quality in this painting.

I hope you all are enjoying the holidays. We had a snowy but uneventful drive to Portland on Christmas Eve. It was a real winter wonderland there with about two feet of snow in the city. We had a great time with our kids--lots of laughter and love--just how Christmas should be.

Very effective Don! I like the way you composed the lighting which enhances the feel of the fox traveling below radar. Want me to send you some of our foxes for as models? They are messy and they ate all the more vulnerable ducks that visited us this year. But I guess they've gotta eat too :)

I'm up early because we just took Mom to the airport for her 5:45 flight back to California. It's been one especially nice holiday season. Well see ya back here next year then, Happy New Year and best wishes! Looking forward to more outstanding art from you in 2009!

Great job Don. You really captured the way coyotes move. The light on the trees is excellent as well.

Corrine also really liked her x-mas present.

Happy New Year
