Serape, by Katherine Treffinger
Oil on canvas, 14" x 11"
Copyright 2009 Katherine Treffinger

Speaking of the abstract, I want to call your attention to Katherine Treffinger's work, showcased on her brand new blog: Her work ranges from beautiful, vibrant abstraction to expressionistic figures and animals.

Katherine lives in the small town of Cove, Oregon, just up the road from me--literally, we live on the same road--seven miles apart.

Oh indeed - Katherine's work is quite lovely - I'm enjoying it every day on her site. I hope to see her work and yours too one of these days in person. I live in Walla Walla. Thanks for the note.

Well Don thank you very much. How nice of you. I feel very honored to be the post before Apple on the Can, a fabulous funny title and wonderful painting.

I'll definitely stop by her blog. I love good abstract work and tried, at a recent art fair, to explain the dynamics of such, to my hubby, (without success) when he said, "I could do that."
I said, "no you couldn't."

But, in some (not this) cases, he could ;)
Thanks for the link.

Thanks, Sunrise aka Dianna. Your collage work is lovely--nice to know you're not far away.

Thanks...and you're welcome, Katherine. You'll probably be working hard now to disassociate yourself from me. :>)

Thank you, Mary. Yes, Katherine is very talented, and a neat person, too.
