Looking down on Wallowa Lake from the East Fork trail. The first few miles of the trail are all uphill, but worth it for the views. At least that's what I kept telling myself.

What on earth kind of trees are they?

Thank you Linda.

They are alpine fir and spruce trees, Micah. They grow at higher elevations and are very slender--often spindly. Some of these have died.

Don!

The cloud formations are really well done and the unusal canopy of the tall trees make this very striking to look at.

Lovely!
