Willows trace the path of Little Creek as it flows across the pastures. Days are growing shorter as the seasonal shift begins; every afternoon the long shadows come a little earlier.

the first painting on the blogs i look at regularly to acknowledge the entrance of autumn... wonderful acknowledgement in this painting, the shadows, the light. r.
Wow Don you really captured the light in this piece. What a beauty! When I first moved here it was the end of September and I was stunned by the beauty of the light that Fall. The long vistas allow the horizontal light to really go to town.
Much appreciated, Rahina. Yes (sigh) the seasons are moving on. I love it all, though.
Thank you, Katherine. It really is a wonderful time of year, isn't it? If only it would last longer. :^)
MMMM nice can smell the dew.
