It may be awhile before the next post. My dear mother passed away last night, one month to the day short of her 100th birthday! She was such a great mom. Though she had no background or education in art, she never wavered in her support of my desire to be an artist.

Don, I'm so sorry for your loss. My mother was a few months short of her 100th birthday when she died. That early and enduring support for your life's work is so valuable.

There are those who think we should not be so affected by the loss of a mother of that age but it is painful and sad at any age. Sorry.

Beautiful painting that brings many memories of cold.

Don, I'm so sorry to hear about your mom's passing. I do believe that memory is part spirit. I think of my grandmother and my father every day, and in so doing, feel that they are still here with me. I know also that you will find much comfort in nature. Spirit resides there, too. xox

Don, I'm deeply sorry for your loss. I hope that your Mom's 99 years of photos and memories and handed down stories help keep your heart buoyed and your loss softened over the holidays and into the new year.
