It was a spectacular spring day last Sunday, so we jumped in the truck and took a little voyage of discovery through the mountains. We stopped off at Balm Creek Reservoir, where Winslow debated whether he wanted to get wet. He finally waded in a little, but when his feet started sinking in the soft mud and the water reached his belly, he beat a hasty retreat to shore.

Perfection.
it's the the kind of composition in which the body language tells you the expression on Winslow's face.. beautiful work.
This is really lovely. I like the reflection of the trees in the water.
Exceptional Don.
Lovely painting and Winslow is a perfect addition.
I can imagine the warmth of the sun which prompted Winslow to try the water. What a sturdy little guy!
I wish, David! Thanks for the encouragement.
What a nice thing to say, Rahina--thanks.
Kristin, welcome to my blog and thanks for your comment.
Thanks, Marilyn. Glad you're posting again.
Hi Linda--thank you.
Yes, he is sturdy, Sam. But I imagine he wished his sturdy little legs were longer when he started sinking!
