Back at last. Finally got the computer troubles sorted out, thanks to my helpful son Jared, who wrote a program to kill the bug that infected it. Everyone should have a computer wizard in the family, right? We've got two--our daughter Heather is also a programmer--so boy are we lucky!

Winslow and I took a walk in the hills yesterday. There's been a lot of rain, so the countryside is unusually green for this time of year. The wildflowers are putting on quite a show.

Beautiful! So fresh and blowing.

I love painting wildflowers too. The way they dance around in a field has been an attraction to me since childhood.

Well, there you are! Glad to hear your computer got over its bug. I guess you've got two choices; be related to wizards, or get a Mac. How nice to have 2 wizzes!

I really like how this perspective and the fence posts keep this view all about the wildflowers.

It's very green here, too, especially for this time of year. I think all the volcanic ash in the atmosphere is precipitating all this rain. Unlike many places, we're lucky to have a flood of flowers.

Thanks, Susan! I like your lupines in fog--what a beautiful area you live in.

Hi Sam--thanks. Looks like you're having a great retreat on Rabbit Mountain. Did you bring the dogs?

It's one lucky dog now. But like Winston, he's a lot of dog.

Don, so beautiful..puts me in mind of the impressionist paintings I have been seeing lately - immediate and joyful!

Sheila--thanks so much. There's nothing like seeing those paintings firsthand, is there?
