Second Cutting
Oil on board, 6" x 6"
$125 plus $6 shipping in U.S.

A rich green crop of alfalfa on a neighbor's farm. I couldn't resist the complementary red/green color scheme.
Uh oh...there's been a chill in the air the last couple of nights, a reminder that autumn is fast approaching. Are you ready?

I always like how you use red in your paintings. There is a lot of red in this one but it is not overwhelming. Lovely greens as well.

Nice rhythm in this one, Don.

A few leaves are turning, the chickadees are down from the high country, and there's bear poop in the yard. Yup, fall's coming, but Mother N has a squirrelly sense of humor and just gave us the 2nd-hottest weekend of the year... 98 degrees. Not funny.

Hi Ruth--thanks for your thoughts.

Thanks, Sam. I wonder why Mother Nature is messing with you...have you been trying to fool Mother Nature?

I can see why you wanted to paint this, Don!

Yeah, Dean--hard to pass up that red-green combo.
