Happy Halloween! Still about a half-hour of Halloween eve left as I write this. As usual, I bought a little candy in case we had some trick or treaters but, as usual, nobody showed up. We live out on the edge of town--pretty rural--guess the kids prefer the high-traffic areas. Either that or we're just too spooky even for the little ghosts and goblins!

This painting is another view of Cape Meares Lighthouse. Though it's the smallest light on the Oregon coast, it is a beautifully designed structure. The interlocking angles of the smooth white stucco are crisply accented by the black trim.

Small, but haughtingly imposing as seen in this composition. I believe you've captured the 'spirit' of Cape Meares...do you see it?

Ohhh...it's the vampire on the wall! How could I not see it? So the painting is Halloween appropriate, after all. Thanks for pointing it out, Marilyn. :^)
