It was a beautiful fall, but the leaves of autumn are pretty well finished with us now. I wasn't quite finished with them, though. I still carried the memory of this stately cottonwood up the canyon, luminous and glowing in the height of its glory a few weeks ago. I had wanted to get around to painting it, so today I did.

You certainly caught it glowing! Once the leaves fall, its hard to recall how glorious they looked just a short time ago. Did you have a photo to help you along?
