Another in this recent group of drawings that explore a kind of dreamworld of fragmentary impressions. I love building up these kind of smoky surfaces--a nebulous space where anything can occur.

Amazing Sense-Pencil, Don GRAY!
I am loving these drawings and the feel of voyaging into the subconscious/mythic realm. So sensual.
You're very kind, Rudhi--thanks!
Hi there Katherine--thank you so much for your thoughts.
FANTASTIC!!! loving these smoke signals!!!!!
Very mysterious. A little like a children's fairy tale illustration, and then all at once it is sinister. Dreamy too.
"Smoke Signals"...I like that Martha--thanks!!
Welcome to my blog and thanks for your comments, Martha. I enjoyed seeing your paintings.
Nice Don - good to see you can fly into abstract airspace as well as the daily earthly realm - and why not.. both worthwhile places to hang out.
Thanks, Bill. The more abstract direction has existed side by side with my realism for many years. I shift back and forth in what must look to others like a schizophrenic two-step. It would be simpler all-round if I could meld the two styles into one, but I don't seem to be able to. You've done it quite nicely, by the way.
