One from the archives. I really enjoyed painting these little girl's antique booties. They are part of the local historical museum's collection and--lucky me--my studio is just upstairs. I can almost picture the Victorian era toddler who might have worn these.

Very nice! I love historical (and pre-historical) objects like this, and how lucky to be so close to them in your studio. Sounds like a great idea for a series ;).

Hi Don,
Imagine the stories these booties could tell, if only....
Very nice and touching, too.
Sincerely,

Thanks, Rahina. We're both into booties lately, aren't we?

Thanks, Sonya. Actually, this painting is one of a series. They were posted on my blog around April, 2009, I believe.
