This wonderful handmade ceramic tray was found at a white elephant sale. I would tell you who made it but the signature on the bottom is illegible.

THE DPW HELP JAPAN CHALLENGE
Here's an exciting way for artists and buyers to come together to help support the people of Japan. The Daily Paintworks artist group I belong to is announcing the Help Japan Artist's Challenge. In a nutshell, here's how it works: One of our members, Keiko Tanabe, is initiating the challenge, on the theme of "home". Any artists, not just DPW members, can submit a painting on the theme. The paintings will be placed in a seven day in-house auction, with 100% of sales going to a charity of the artist's choice. Artists and buyers both can follow this link to read all the details: http://www.dailypaintworks.com/Challenges/HelpJapan.

I'll be submitting a painting to the challenge very soon. Artists, I urge you to join in this worthy effort to help the Japanese people as they try to cope with this terrible tragedy. And buyers, here's an opportunity to provide real assistance to Japan and come away with beautiful and meaningful art for your walls.
