Open Studio this Saturday

A reminder that the Grande Ronde Studio Tour is this Saturday, October 8th, 9AM to 5PM. Lots of artists in the valley are opening their workspaces for this free self-guided tour. Call 541-624-2800 for maps and details.

If you're within striking distance of northeast Oregon I hope you'll come visit my studio in Union. I'll have original dailies on display, as well as larger works and giclee prints. And don't forget to throw your name in the raffle box for a chance to win a beautiful framed print.

I'm upstairs in the Union County Museum--corner of Main and Center Streets. Follow the signs to enter on the Center Street side. It's always good to see old friends and make new ones...I'll see you there!

I wish we were coming! Hopefully next year we can make a weeekend of it - don't even know how long of a drive it is from Eugene!

Hi Sarah--you are welcome to visit any time--studio's always open for you. It is a ways away--maybe 6 1/2 hours from Eugene--but it will be an adventure--right? :^)

Hi Don,
Wow! What a fantastic studio. Of course, in my dreams, it would look like this for about five minutes on the first day I moved in. After that, chaos, stuff everywhere and spattered paint covering everything.
I don't know how you do it, but it is spotless and very impressive.
Have a good time and sell some of your great work.
Sincerely,
Gary.

Thanks for the well-wishes, Gary. That photo was taken after clean-up for the 2009 open studio--believe me, it doesn't look like this any other time. And even the photo makes it look cleaner than it was--the camera angle with reflections makes the floor look spit-polished, which I assure you it was not. But I really am so grateful for this studio--it's a great space.
