Here's an encore of a painting done in 2010. This is Rockaway Beach, on the Oregon coast. Lots of interesting driftwood at Rockaway.

One good thing about being out of it ("it" being the state, keeping up with everyone's blog and/or my mind) is that, upon returning, I get to dive deep into cool places like your blog. I see you've been doing some great stuff. I also got to go to your Don West Website. Very nice!

Hi Sam--so you're back from hula land, eh? Looks like you had another grand time and then got to cool off big-time when you got home. So paradise had an expiration date--who knew?

Thanks for your encouraging words!

This painting takes me back to my first crabbing trip...13 years old, Chesapeake Bay. We crabbed all day on the boat and brought back our score to steam them on our own little section of the beach. Driftwood everywhere and no one else around. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Happy painting...
