Photos of Stone exhibit

The reception for the "Stone" exhibition was very gratifying for me. People came and lingered, spending time with the work. There were many thoughtful comments and conversations. I came back today to photo-document the show. Click the images for larger views.

Don, these are wonderful.... you are an artist with vision beyond the here and now... kinda back there and back again and over there in the future.... just an observation. Good to see your work in this format. r.

Don, thanks for sharing the photos for those of us who couldn't attend. The presentation looked great and I liked the last image of the stones reflected in the polished floor.

Thanks Don, all of these achievements serve to inspire us all to keep going, keep pushing the envelope as we say in the UK ! (or is that an American expression?)

Thank you, Anne. I appreciate your keeping up with the blog.

Thank you, Sheila. Your own willingness to push that envelope is equally inspiring.

Morning Don,
What a wonder these paintings are. They should called portraits, really, as that's the way I see them.
I wouldn't have thought such subject matter could be so powerfully portrayed, but you've done it.
Congratulations, Don, this is a great show. I'm not surprised to learn of the many thoughtful comments and how people connect with the paintings.
Hopefully, visitors will put their money where their hearts are!
Sincerely,
Gary.
PS This "prove you're not a robot" got me again. Two tries to guess correctly. Blogger has a setting which eliminates this pain in the fanny, but you still have control of all comments. I've used it for several months now and have been very happy with it. As I am often frustrated by the words and numbers game, I was relieved to get rid of it. I believe more folks are successful in leaving comments, too.
Just an idea. Okay, here I go again with another try to break the code!

Hi Gary--great to read your thoughts and I'm pleased with your response to the work. I actually think of them as portraits, too, so nice to hear you confirm that.

Sorry about that obnoxious blogger password stuff. I actually once set preferences to eliminate it, but they started doing it again, without my permission. I'll go back in and reset the thing. Thanks for being so persistent!
