Obviously, I need to take the "Daily" out of Daily Art West.
Things have been pretty chaotic here, with absolutely no time to paint, or even blog. We are in the process of selling our home here in northeast Oregon and planning to buy another in the Portland, Oregon area. All three of our kids came over the weekend to help with final packing and loading (bless their hearts--thanks, guys). Yesterday we moved into my studio temporarily and are busy doing final cleanup of the house to ready it for the new owners. We hope to be re-settled in Portland by early September.
In the midst of it all, Winslow and I buzzed down to Salem for the opening of my "Sit - Stay" exhibit at Mary Lou Zeek Gallery. It was Salem's "Art Walk" evening, and tons of people were out and about. Many of them brought their own dogs, so Winslow was very busy meeting, greeting and tail-wagging.

Portland! Hope everything goes very well and you find a great place soon. Love the dog paintings.
wishing you all the best with the move Don! The Winslow portraits are always done with such a sensitive touch...
Hi Don,
Congratulations on a wonderful show. Sorry we couldn't be there to say, "Aloha"!
Winslow was obviously in his element and seemed to take the adoring crowd in-stride.
Hope all goes well with your move and getting re-settled in Portland. If, and when, you're ever in need of a tiny break from what to you will probably not seem anything like a "real" winter...c'mon out west!
Sincerely,
Gary.
Hey Tanner--thanks for the well wishes. Hope you have a great summer.
Hi Rahina--thanks so much!
Hi Gary, good to hear from you. Yes, Win was having a grand time at the opening--it was a lot of fun. Don't be surprised if we show up "out west" sometime. Thanks for the good wishes.
Fantastic paintings Don.
Great paintings Don.
Oh god I am now repeating myself....
