We had a humongous hail storm in the valley yesterday afternoon, with some stones as large as a half dollar. It knocked leaves and limbs off the trees, decimated flowers and vegetable gardens and dimpled cars all over town, including our own. Thankfully I think the cherry orchards have all been picked, or the crop would have been destroyed. I wonder how much damage was done to the wheat fields. Mother Nature does put us in our place from time to time, doesn't she?

Here's some more of those beautiful cherries, this time in a classic complementary red/green color scheme. I also re-did the photo on Wednesday's post, which I wasn't happy with. Now it's much closer to the actual painting.

What a rich image! It's simply beautiful and your complementary color scheme makes this painting positively arresting.
