A variation on yesterday's theme. The title sounds like it could be the name of a TV detective series, doesn't it?

Hi Don,
I really like the two still life paintings--could that mouth-watering mango have anything to do with it? Without a doubt...yes.
I find mangoes a challenge, due primarily to their relatively (to me) uninteresting shape. Their color is a different story, but I've only tried painting them a couple of times, both of which were unsuccessful.
Nice to see a real pro get it right and make it memorable. Congratulations, Don.
Sincerely,
Gary.

Hi Gary--nice to hear from you. Thanks for the kind words. Hey, you're a real pro too, you just don't think so. :) Looks like you're pulling some tough duty there in Hawaii! Thanks for your travelogue stories on your blog, which always make the place come alive. Hope to see some new Everest paintings show up before long.

To me it sounds like the name of a cartoon along the lines of Tom and Jerry but with two dogs.. good to see you pushing paint Don, agree with Gary re the mangoes. I do like painting them but haven't for ages.

It does sound kind of cartoonish alright, Sheila. Thanks for stopping by.
