From time to time I post my more abstract type paintings on this blog. Unlike the realist work, these paintings begin with no real idea where they might lead. This one, which I thought was going to be another in my ongoing stone series, evolved into this clunky, boat-like shape that I somehow liked and decided to develop. It has led to several other works with boat forms, which you can see here.
