With these works I'm interested in creating a kind of ambiguous space. It's a field of possibility, where forms can advance or recede, or not fix themselves clearly in a defined, dimensional space. It's the space of the imagination.

I'm enjoying this bird series Don. As you said there is definitely a "feel" of the old Victorian bird albums and yet the treatment is thoroughly modern. I like that ambiguity. And yes, the imagination holds all kinds of things in its vast store if we only let it speak.
