From the Point

Oil on board, 5 5/8" x 10"
$290.00 + $8.00 shipping in US.

Since Winter is still putting up a pretty good fight here in the north country, I thought I'd put up a sunny change of pace today. This is a somewhat larger painting I did a short time back of one of my favorite coastal haunts, Torrey Pines State Reserve, near San Diego. This view looks south, toward LaJolla, CA.

I received my beautiful Love Seat Pillows watercolour today Don; it is even lovelier in real life. I am so happy to have it in my collection.

what a gorgeous coast, and painting! i'm getting ready to post about my monhegan island residency including some pics of the back cliffs on the island, which your painting brings to mind. you would LOVE monhegan - if you are ever out east, i highly recommend it!

Thanks, Martha. I would love to visit Maine and Monhegan Island. Closest I've been is New Brunswick, Bay of Fundy and Prince Edward Island a couple of years ago. I loved all that country.

Really nice piece Don. I love that golden light on the cliffs. And the sky.

Don,
I'm friend of Virginia Vaughan, she told me how good your work is and so I had to go look,...Yup!.....she was right, she has great taste. I am a painter myself, for about 34 years now,...moved to Oregon from Texas 3 years ago, I have to ship my stuff back to Texas to seel it cuz I cant find a market here in Oregon but geeeeeeeeesh, this state makes Texas look really bad and the weather here is great!.....love your stuff man!
