Don, these are very well painted but I think you may be in a small idea rut here.

You could try painting them in the sun at the beach, out in the rain, at sunset, etc.

Good idea, Bill, I'll bet the onion and string would enjoy a day at the beach...maybe a hike in the mountains. Oh wait, that might involve trail ruts...better avoid that.
