| Happy Independence Day! I'll probably paint some more works in the "Odd Couple" series, but for today I'm posting this landscape. The other evening's sunset looked like a fireworks display, so this seemed appropriate.
This is yet another painting of the little barn just north of our house. You viewers may get tired of seeing it, but I never tire of the view, with its ever-changing light and color shifts. | |

Ahhh, the red barn... the feeling is like coming home to the smell of homemade bread. I will never tire of your paintings of this building - and this one is fabulous with that sky! Have a peaceful weekend!
The sky is luminous..just gorgeous, giving this landscape such a peaceful feel, what a treat! What a great idea with your 'odd couple' series too, I especially love the rich darks and reflections in the jelly jar and sunglasses.
The colors throughout are stunning! I love the total effect. :)
Joanne, how nice of you to say that--thanks for your kind words. A belated Happy Canada Day to you, as well.
Karen, thanks for your encouraging comments. I really appreciate your visit.
Helen, glad to have you come by, and thank you.
I love your rich colors!
Love the backlighting and the title Don. Thanks for your comment. I just posted a western piece this myself. I'd be curious to hear what you think.
Beautiful piece Don. The sky is just lovely.
Deborah, thanks for your visit and comment. I'm glad to discover your work.
Thanks, Cooper--nice to hear from you. I left a comment on your Wyoming piece. Look forward to seeing others in that series.
Onpainting, thank you!
I can see why you can't resist painting this, and it's beautifully done.
