Takeout and Tape Measure

$125.00 + $6.00 shipping in US.

Another in the "Odd Couple" series.

Did everyone have a safe and sane holiday weekend? You didn't set fire to the neighbor's lawn, did you? We attended the annual family reunion on my mother's side--a wonderful, life-affirming time.

Don, This is my favorite to date. The use of complementary colors and the reflection of the tape measure on the takeout container is perfect. I have that same lime green tape in my studio. I can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Don,
Have you been sneaking around my house. You keep coming up with visions of my countertops except that you have separated the items from the rest of the clutter. Even though you call them contrasts, they are every day life and bring flashbacks of amny different contrasts seen everyday. Now when I see the clutter on my counter I look at that and see art! Thanks for the insight.

Hi Mark. Thanks for your comments--so encouraging coming from such a fine painter. I have fun roaming around the house looking for strange combinations.

Mark Scott--we sure missed you at the reunion!

Thanks for giving me some perspective on the odd couples. I have to admit the spaces I inhabit regularly look more like "Early Flea Market" than "Better Homes and Gardens."

And if just one person sees their cluttered countertop as art, then all my hard work has been worth it. :>

Martha, I thought of that too, but afraid it's already too late for my waistline! Thanks for the comment.
