Low Tide

Another watercolor landscape today, derived from photos I took two summers ago while painting a mural in New Brunswick, Canada. This image came from my visit to the beautiful Bay of Fundy. Fundy has the highest tide shifts of anywhere in the world--over thirty feet of difference between high and low tides. While walking far out on the tidal plain I turned to see this minimal, elemental view.

Don, I am envious that you can go from yesterday's "Shell Shocked" oil to this charming watercolor landscape with such ease. Takeyce said it best - Brilliant, indeed!

I recognized the red mud which you did a great job with!
We visit Nova Scotia for two weeks each summer. Just wonderful.

Thanks, Mary. I hope to get back to Fundy sometime, and would love to visit Nova Scotia.
