Ocean Waves 14

Oil on board, 6" x 6"
$125.00 + $6.00 shipping in US.

Some of you are probably tiring of this ocean series, but I've gotten really into it and need to see it through.

Besides, temps are rising into the triple digits this week. Doesn't a day at the beach sound pretty good?

Don't stop- beautiful work, Don! Enjoyed your comment about Cast Away on the previous post- so spot on. And your ability to evoke that sound in these little paintings is impressive.

An excellent painting.

I'm not tiring of the series. I lived in Hawaii for six years, and spent many hours at the beach, and I can look at scenes like these forever. Well done, Don.

Deborah that's really a nice compliment--thanks! I've been enjoying your recent landscapes.

Nope, we aren't getting tired of the series at all. Every one is a gem, I'm breathing the ocean air with these paintings! Thanks.

I love the atmosphere of this one, Don. It looks like a storm is either approaching, or has just gone over. There is an enduring fascination about the ocean, and I for one never tire of well-done paintings of it. I can almost smell the salt in the air - in fact, I think it will be seafood for supper tonight! :-) Thanks for the inspiration.

Hi Joanne,
Thanks for those supportive words. Glad you came by.

Hi Silvina and thanks.

Got up to 104 in some parts of western OR, I heard. High 90's here on the east side. Usually it gets warmer here than westside. I can handle it, though. I'm acclimated after living in SoCal :)

Don your ocean series is popular as it should be. I am always a fan of gray dominant color schemes and you have delivered that color like a champ. The brush work shows the level of skill and understanding of the subject. Composition and value range also enjoying those heights.

Many thanks, Bill. I always value your opinions highly.
