A sparkling and serene series. There are 2 Maine artists whose work comes to mind that I think you might enjoy checking out:

and especially now that you are noticing being on the verge of abstraction, Joe Kievitt. I remember Joe's older charcoal drawings of water surfaces - his new work is quite abstract and/or sophisticatedly (a word?) decorative:
Thanks for the links--I'll check them out. I always appreciate seeing artist's work that I haven't been familiar with...and you've never steered me wrong :)

Glittery and shimmery. you are the waterman!
Hi Martha,

Maybe more like waterlogged, but I appreciate the comment, Bill. Thanks a lot for the visit.
This series Rocks DON! Love the sparkle of light and investigations of the water patterns you're getting into. Lose the horizon eventually?
One knockout after another Don!
Hi Candy--thanks! Yeah, the horizon has come and gone throughout this series. Some of the first ones I painted over a year ago have little or no sky.
Thanks, Cooper! Lots of knockouts on your blog as well.
