This is truly a beauty Don. There is something about still lifes. If they are done right they can be so wonderful. Well you hit it on this one. Beautiful color combining.

Hi Don,
Love the rich color of these small paintings. I went on to your web site and found many paintings I admired.
I love the Beach Dog and other dogs too. My favorites are the two paintings with STOP. Wonderful work.
Joanne
P.S Thanks for your very nice comments.

Don,
Seeing the porcelain covered tin cups brings back memories of camping on th elostine and hot coffee in the morning. I looked hard to find a dent or chip in your cup like the well used ones. Your drawings evoke memories as well as provide wonderful art with your mastery of the colors, shadows and reflections.

Hi Joanne--Thanks for exploring my other sites. I'm happy to have discovered your blog--really enjoy both your painting and writing.

Hi Mark--Great to talk to you yesterday. This little blue cup is at least 30 years old, but has led a pretty pampered life--mostly on display in our house. It reminds me though of others I've owned that have hit the camping trail you describe--wish I still had those. There's nothing like the experience of hot coffee or ice-cold mountain water in a tin cup.

Thanks for the kind words, Mark.
