The Daily Paintings of Don Gray
you ARE a magician!
It's doing a nose dive, Martha, I think the lemon is the magician and Don just captured the moment beautifully... r.
A magician whose skills have gone sour, right Martha?
Ah, Rahina--you literally turned the lemon on its nose! It's kind of the glass half-empty or half-full thing, isn't it? It's either levitating or committing suicide!
Couldn't believe my eyes Don WOW! May I see the backside just to make sure you're not just being tricky? ;)
Looks like Rene Magritte misplaced one of his lemons. I enjoy the whimsy of it all.
Suspended lemonation!
I just paint what I see, Erika--no tricks here. :>} Thanks for stopping by.
Thanks, Rob. Yes, I couldn't help but think of Magritte while painting this.
I love that, Lu.A friend emailed me this: "Most artists toss their "lemon" paintings or hide them in a bin, but you thought you could just float this one by us!"
I love your lemon portraits. A most challenging fruit.
R, thanks a lot. Your work is beautiful.
