When the sun comes through the window in this passageway between the main studio and the other rooms, the space is luminous. Sitting in the stillness and watching the light move across the room is for me both joyous and poignant. I feel a heightened awareness of the passage of time and a sense of the preciousness of our moments.

What a beauty Don! I love these door paintings. I find them very poignant and symbolic. There is so much promise in this piece.
I wanted to drop by and say that I think your door series is wonderful. I love the way that art can allow us to sometimes take a look through another persons eyes to see unexpected beauty.
You are a real treasure to the art world.
adore.
Don!
I'm noticing in your "Door" series that all of your doors are lit up differently in each painting. Some at night, some in low light, and here in bright light.
Nice job capturing the sunlight through the window onto the door itself.
