This humble but lovely stone church was built in 1856. It was the only building left standing in Keanae Village after a tsunami swept over the peninsula in 1946.

Don, love the calm peacefulness of this and the composition is spot on with the tall, waving palms at the back. I really prefer this white background to your blog. Helps the images stand out much more.

Hi Susan--thanks a lot for the encouragement! I did think when I completed this that it had the makings of a larger painting. I just may do it
