Today I worked on a group of drawings in the "Heaven and Earth" series. I'll post a progress shot soon.

This beautiful old Chinese vase sat for many years on the back porch of my childhood home. For reasons unknown my mother painted it a pastel yellow color. When I inherited it many years later, I stripped the paint and discovered this rich deep umber glaze.

This one is lovely as well Don. Can't believe I'm the first to say so! You've captured the richness and detail of that wood without rendering it like a big glossy photograph. Love that tile!

I can appreciate your work ethic of constantly producing work. What really captivated me to your blog is your description on Blog Catalog, "Visual odes to the familiar, maybe not earthshaking but personally meaningful." Well said.
