How could anybody not love this. When they lie like that and look up at you just with their eyes. I reckon dogs know so much about us. It's not a "romantic" painting Don. It's a true one.
Winslow may be your muse. He's certainly one of your greatest subjects. I can't decide which I love more, his tail in the tunnel painting or the sheen of his coat in "Basking."

Wow Don, those nails make the picture! I can hear them clicking on the floor when he walks!
How can something be so cute and beautiful all at once? This is great Don!
This is just great, Don. Really does capture the moment.
I do appreciate that comment, Sheila. Dogs are indeed "cute", but I'm more interested in showing something of their reality.
Hi Lynne--thank you!
Hello Jane--thanks for those nice comments!
I appreciate it, Sonya.
Of course Basking sold congrats to the buyer! I can feel how warm and cuddly Winslow felt. What an excellent job Don! Love this painting!

Hey Don,
This is so good it almost brings tears to my eyes. What a beautiful composition, beautifully expressed.
Wow.
