These recent bird subjects stem from some plein air painting that I did a few weeks ago, during the Ladd Marsh Birdathon. I'll post the paintings I did during the event soon.

This watercolor is on Strathmore Plate Bristol, a very smooth surface paper that I used to think had a mind of its own. But after using Yupo, the bristol feels very manageable. Everything's relative.
