Another Yosemite memory. I used this tall format to emphasize the overwhelming feeling of vertical height one experiences from the canyon bottom, with these great walls of granite looming overhead..

To me, it seems to be a "dark painting" that's really all about light. I find it very beautiful.

Excellent sense of depth and majesty.
Standing in Yosemite, I felt like a speck, but also a part of this grand, beautiful creation. Humbling yet communal.

Nice painting, I like the contrast between the lighter granite wall in the background and the shadowy foreground. I too like the vertical format, a nice change in a wall full of horizontals.
