It has been an unusual winter in these parts. After a two-month hiatus, snow has at last arrived on the valley floor. Winslow was a little bewildered by the sudden transformation of his world.

I absolutely love this painting, Don. And, I'm glad you finally got some snow up your way (as did we); sounds like another storm is on its way as well.

This is a beautiful painting, Don. The ever exploring Winslow appears to be undaunted. According to your weather forecast, this may be the first in a series!

oh that is just beautiful Don... Winslow looks so small and lost in that white stuff....

Lovely post, lovely painting. We in the Valley are with you, in rain, in spirit.

Thanks for the encouragement, Sonya!
Yes, a real winter at last. It was getting eerie around here, going so long without snow.

Thanks, Marilyn. Winslow is a comfort dog--likes warm weather. His short hair has him shivering in the snow. But he loves exploring, so on walks he forgets that it's cold.

Thanks, Rahina. I did try to catch his initial feeling of being overwhelmed. But he soon was happily running around.

Ha--thank you kindly, Sarah! It's raining here now too.

So it's you, Micah! I was wondering who the heck "Show me a sky with teeth" was. Apparently, so were you...go figure?!

Thanks for the note. Logan sounds like a real character.
