I've become a head hunter. Or more accurately, a head counter, moving from figure to figure painting the portrait heads in the mural. They're the most time-consuming part, requiring a lot of intense focus that leaves me exhausted by day's end. I'll paint in the clothing and other details later. That part should go pretty fast (he said, naively).

A couple of my semi-abstract paintings are in a group show called "East Meets West", at the Blackfish Gallery in Portland, Oregon. I'll be there tomorrow evening for the first Thursday reception. If you're in the neighborhood I hope you'll drop by and say hello.

You're doing an amazing job, Don! I like how you're bringing in the detail as your figures move closer to the foreground. This is a huge undertaking. I'm glad it's not me doing it!
